Over all...

Today, two of my classes got cancelled so I had time to pick out an outfit. I got these overalls from Free People for Christmas, and I can't believe it's taken me 2 months to actually wear them. I'm completely obsessed with them. I want to wear them every day.

When I tell people I'm a fashion major, I often get laughs and asked "really..?" which sometimes makes me doubt my career choice. But then I spend a morning putting an outfit together like this, and I realize how much I really love everything about fashion. Fabrics, fits, designers, merchandising, styling, buying, everything. You get one shot at life, so why not do what you love?

The basic white tee is from Irene's Story, and shoes are Jeffrey Campbell's Monroe Chelsea Boot.
I apologize for the dusty mirror.

Modern Love

This past week has been pretty rough… Wednesday night I spent around 5 hours in the ER waiting to see a doctor, but I ended up just going home and making an appointment with my doctor Thursday night. Turns out I had a stomach bug, that was probably the most pain I've ever been in.

However this weekend was a pretty good one, my friends and I went to OB and Mission Beach. And then today Sam and I had to do a service project for our Bio classes, AKA pulling weeds for two hours. That was a lovely way to start my Sunday. Now I'm going to Fashion Valley to finish my fashion project and to help Trevor pick out something to wear for his interview :-)

Rise n shine...

I made these flour less peanut butter banana chocolate chip muffins while I was at home:
1 Banana
8 tbsp Peanut butter
3 tbsp Honey
1 pinch of baking soda
Put these ingredients into a blender instead of hand-mixing, and then hand mix chocolate chips into the batter.
These only bake for around 10 minutes. So good.

We went to an antique store in OB where we found all of these old pictures of random people… kind of creepy but I kind of like it.

ANNNND, Trevor let me dress him at Urban Outfitters. How cute?! I die 1,000 times.

Free

Yesterday I went to Free People at Fashion Valley in San Diego for a fashion buying project. I'm so in love with this store. And being in there was seriously dangerous because they just got a whole new shipment of clothes… Birthday wish list! I can't wait until I start to work so I can apply here. Hopefully next year :-)

This navy jacket is my favorite

Sleeping Sickness

This past week has flown by. I really do feel like I'm always in class. I also got slapped in the face by this nasty cold, accompanied by some waves of nausea. Now I'm sitting and writing this post while all of my friends go to some rave type thing. Even though that isn't my type of music it would be fun to be with all of my friends :-( Now I'm gonna finish my psych paper and watch lifetime movies on Netflix with some tea.

I want my blog to be more on the fashion side, but it's so hard here at college. Here's some pictures from the past week. I need to start taking more pictures too.
ALSO. I found a new love for water color painting. I need to order all that stuff so I can paint all the time! So fun.

So Long January...

I can't believe it's already February… and that I have about 3 months left of my freshman year of college. I need to start planning things to do this summer. I'm about 90% sure that I'll be going to New York for at least a week. Anyway, I've been super busy with classes this semester. It's not even the homework load (which I'm sure will only grow larger) but I'm in class all day. At least it feels that way.

Tomorrow I have classes until 5:15 which sucks, and then Tuesday I'm driving up home to pick up these lovely glasses pictured below! The rest of my week is pretty busy as well, with projects and essays and tests coming up. I'm trying to keep up this blog but it's hard to do fun stuff when you have no time!

Great picture of my new specs I get to pick up on tuesday.

View of the San Clemente pier from the train :-)

My white mocha and acai bowl from The Lazy Hummingbird. It's going to take all of my will power not to go here every day.
